A Week of Art, Music, Storytelling & More
Arts Week Orleans features hands-on workshops, performances, public art walks, and gallery events. Art lovers, music fans, and those seeking new experiences are invited to join.
“Arts Week Orleans is a unique opportunity to experience the creativity that defines our town,” said Bonny Campbell-Runyon, Chair of the Orleans Cultural District Committee. “It’s a time to connect with artists, businesses, and neighbors through shared artistic expression.”
A Community Call for Art: A Love Letter to Orleans
At the heart of this year’s celebration is a special community-driven exhibition:
A Love Letter to Orleans – A Tiny Art Show
Artists and community members are invited to create small works inspired by the prompt:
“What makes Orleans feel like home to you?”
Each piece—no larger than 2 × 3 inches—will be displayed in the Free Little Art Gallery (F.L.A.G.), located under the Witch Hazel tree at 44 Main Street.
Participants are encouraged to interpret the theme in their own way, capturing a favorite beach path, marsh view, local landmark, memory, or simply the feeling of being here. All mediums are welcome, including painting, collage, photography, drawing, poetry, and mixed media.
In the spirit of accessibility and shared creativity, visitors are invited to take a piece of art or leave one, creating a rotating, community-powered exhibition throughout Arts Week.
Artwork drop-off will take place on Saturday, April 11, from 11am–1pm at 44 Main Street.
Together, these small works will form a powerful, collective tribute—a love letter to Orleans, one tiny piece at a time.
Family Friendly & Community Focused
Taking place during school vacation week, Arts Week Orleans offers a range of activities for families, making it an ideal time to explore creativity together. From interactive workshops to outdoor experiences, there are opportunities for all ages to engage with the arts.
